Final Proposal         My final project revolves around the meal in the food life cycle presented to us at the beginning of the semester. This project also contains the thoughts of my mental health in regards to my OCD. OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder, I was diagnosed at 6 and have had it for fourteen years. My life is one giant game of trying to reach a perfection that I will never attain due to this, not only do I have OCD I also have a secondary form of OCD known as germaphobia which growing up and somewhat to this day has greatly impacted my day to day life to the point where I can't even shake a persons hand when I meet them.          I will be sculpting with ice cream in class that will be eaten by the viewers while I preform an original piece of spoken word or another form of spoken word. I will begin by washing my hands four times as due to my ocd I do things in fours. Then I will move to a silver empty bowl filled with nothing but an ice cream scooper. I

Final Proposal 2 If possible for my second idea I would like to make a sculpture in class as performance art using liquid nitrogen or dry ice if possible. The sculpture would be made out of ice cream that is quickly sculpted dunked in liquid nitrogen then destroyed by the viewers. The dry ice would serve as a base for the sculpture as well as to create smoke to form the look of destruction of the piece.

Final Proposal 1 Using Molecular Cuisne I would like to make a deconstructed sauce that plays with your sense of smell and taste, this sauce would be warm and poured over a chocolate 3d printed sculpture that would be destroyed by the sauce. This idea comes from my interest in the destruction and consumption of art by the means of food. specifically the idea if that there was a food shortage and one could simply walk into a museum and consume a piece of art for food.

Midterm Recipe and Proposal for Enchiladas de Gringo                 Enchiladas de Gringo is the name given to my midterm recipe as the recipe follows that of the ones taken from Mexican people by the white people of Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. The food revolves around one my heritage and two the flavor profile of both sides matching my personality, music by Selena a prominent Tejano Musician from the 90s plays in the background. As I don't personally know Spanish I will recite the entire recipe in class in Spanish from a script, to show that the recipe originated from Mexico but does not taste like it. I have made the first draft of the recipe successfully. Not only is this a recipe that can be easily recreated by any white man it can be made better by the originality of a Mexican person.                    The recipe is something my mother used to use when she would work three jobs and needed something quick to make us to eat,  but she did not want my sister to lose

Swale Plants for Research The two plants I chose are Eastern Juniper or commonly Juniper, and Peppermint.  Eastern Juniper is commonly referred to as juniper. It is in the Juniperus Genus and its species name is Juniperus Virginiana. They are trees that tend to range from 16-66 feet high with a trunk around 12-39 inches in diameter. They have small needle like leaves that can contain berry like seed cones. They are dark green with fibrous bark that can be peeled off easily. The two variations of juniper are  virginiana and  silicicola with the latter being a smaller species of Juniper. It is commonly found in prairies  limestone hills, and oak barrens. It originated in Texas and parts of Florida where growing conditions were ideal. It is often referred to as Cedar for its bark, it is used to repel moths, make chest, beds, fence posts, and is one of the few good woods to be used in pencil making. It has no medicinal purposes but is used for its bark, as well as to make gin out
Midterm Proposal I would like to pursue the idea of a deconstructed pork tenderloin with a rosemary, cayenne, salt, and pepper rub. With a salad containing mixed greens, veggies, and a homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This meal would also be paired with a chardonnay wine to compliment the meat, the rub and dressing for the salad would all be deconstructed and presented using the flavor printer.
